Friends of the NRHA

Formally known as advocate membership, Friends of the NRHA is designed to provide a method for individuals and organizations to donate charitable funds to the NRHA. The goal is to increase the number of unrestricted donations to the NRHA to put money into areas and projects most in need.

Public and private grant funding often restricts NRHA projects. Many desirable activities and projects fall outside the scope of this funding leaving the NRHA unable to expand into needed areas. Therefore, the NRHA must look to additional unrestricted private donors to fund new initiatives and keep membership and conference fees stable amidst continually rising costs. This program will provide an avenue for the association to fund student scholarships to conferences, events, and activities; 30 percent of every dollar donated will go toward scholarships for students preparing for a career in rural health.
